Description
This is my first project using FlashPunk and I have really enjoyed it. Basically what I have done is taken Kenneth Fejer's mockup of Kid Icarus found here and I tried to make something out of it. I really enjoy his artwork and I love the Kid Icarus game, so I wanted to make it a reality. Now this is only a demo to prove the base knowledge of making a platform game. The demo needs a lot of tweaking to be anywhere near the way the original Kid Icarus game worked. It was more for me to prove to myself and others of my skill level. The major goal of this personal project was to create a learning experiance, which was achieved. I learned the basics of setting up fully working platform engine that includes players, enemies with various levels of AI, collectable items and dynamic map levels that can be created in an editor.
